JIPCT - Jurong Island Pioneer Cable Tunnel
DETAILS
Located 60 meters below ground level, the Jurong Island to Pioneer Transmission Cable Tunnel (JIPCT) is Singapore’s deepest bored tunnel connecting mainland Singapore to a proposed West Jurong Island 400kV Substation. JICPT carries 400kV and 230kV cable circuits along its 5.2km length, with shafts spaced out at 3 openings (West Jurong Island Shaft, Shipyard Shaft and Benoi Shaft)
